You Have a Big Green Leaf on Your Teeth

Have you ever been in a situation where someone has a big thing sticking to their front teeth? Are you the type of person that would tell them or just ignore it? Does it depend on how close you are to that person?  What about in the world of business? If you see something that a business might be blind to, do you say anything?

For our business, it’s always uncomfortable. I hear my mind say, “what gives you the right to point it out?” I think there is only one litmus test for an individual or business. “Do unto others as you would have done unto you.” If you’d want people telling you you have something in your teeth, do it for others. If you appreciate someone pointing out something about your business, point it out to others.

The successful business people I know appreciate feedback. They take it then choose to act or not. They are the ones that succeed. They are the ones we wish to work with. They don’t get upset when you tell them about the big green thing on their teeth.
